EMFs

I see these gadgets on tv and online all the time advertised as "ghost detectors". What are they? Do they work?

The tool I'm talking about is also known as an Electromagnetic Field detector. I've known that EMF's can affect many things from WiFi connections, hearing aids, cellular signals...to human and plant cells. I know that some people are very sensitive to them but I really had an experience today at work. I was running cable for an internet connection on campus and happened to pass through the generator room. WOW! I've heard the "hummm" of electrical cabinets in the past, but never did I really feel that "pressure" that I did today. You really can tell when the juice is flowing through those things. Your body is a very powerful tool when it comes to investigating the paranormal.

Although things like EMF detectors can help with finding your own proof, remember that not everyone will accept it AS proof. You need to not only open your mind but also open your body and use it as an extension of your mind. Use all of your senses and trust them. I've never failed to get a supernatural photo or audio clip when I trust my gut feelings. The biggest non-believer or closed minded person may not believe in things that can't be seen, but even the staunchest skeptic can be shown the light if they experience things on their own. We don't need to prove anything to anyone other than ourselves. If a skeptic wants proof, bring them along with you and share in the experience. Make it a rule beforehand, however, that they need to be quiet and let you do your thing or it's not going to be worth it. Pranks, Jokes, etc. won't prove or disprove anything, and only increases the chances that someone will get hurt.

FIY..I've been working on getting some of our files uploaded so I can post pictures online from several investigations. Keep coming back! Also coming soon are notes and summaries from the investigations themselves!
