Happy Mother's Day

The most important thing parents can teach their children to have is an open mind. Without that, how can anyone see the world around them for what it truly is? I get sick and tired of people telling me flat out that they don't believe in something because no "proof" exists, but then go on in the same breath to explain that they wouldn't accept any proof anyway because it's all fake.

Come ON! It's possible to be a skeptic and still keep an open mind to possibilities. There is much more to this world than we know. Where's my proof for that statement? Well, if we already knew everything, why do we have science? Why still study it? Why hire researchers?

Don't close your mind to the possibility of something simply because you haven't seen it yourself or out of fear. The unknown can be a beautiful thing, and affects our lives in many mysterious ways.

Keep your minds open, and a whole new world of opportunities will arise. Doors will open that were formerly closed to you, and you'll see things in a new light. Just remember that simply saying you have an open mind doesn't mean squat. You shouldn't HAVE to say anything. As they say, the proof is in the pudding.

Enjoy your mother's day!
